Ordering web hosting

You order web hosting in the store at beta-manager.thunderhosting.com. The checkout guides you through five steps: Plan, Account, Organization, Domain and Confirm. You can order with a new account or with an account you already have.

1. Plan#

Choose Solo Spark, Smart Space or Business Pack and the billing period (monthly, or yearly with a 10% discount). The order summary shows what is due today and the recurring price.

2. Account#

Sign in with your existing account, or create a new one. A new account must confirm its email address before a paid order can be completed: check your inbox and spam folder, or use Resend confirmation email.

3. Organization#

Every service belongs to an organization (for example your company or yourself). Pick an existing organization or create a new one with its name, billing email, country and city. Web hosting needs a valid contact or billing email on the organization: it is used for your Plesk account and for hosting notifications. Prices are shown in the currency of the selected organization (CHF or EUR).

4. Domain#

Decide which address your website will use:

• Register a new domain: if the name is available, you can register it with ThunderHosting. The one-time registration fee is shown, and the domain then renews yearly.
• Transfer a domain: if the domain is already registered elsewhere, you can move it to ThunderHosting with the Auth/EPP code from your current registrar.
• Use ThunderHosting name servers: keep the domain at your current registrar and point its name servers to us. We then manage all DNS records.
• Point individual DNS records: keep your current DNS provider and add the records we show you after setup.
• Use a domain from this organization: if the domain is already managed in your organization, choose Smart DNS sync (recommended) or Manual DNS.
• Free subdomain: get a free address such as mysite.hts.one or mysite.onthunderhosting.com. You can switch to your own domain later.

5. Confirm and pay#

• Card payment (preferred): pay online through FlowAlp Pay with a card or, where offered, TWINT. With a saved payment method, renewals can be charged automatically.
• Bank transfer (Swiss QR): you receive a Swiss QR invoice. The hosting is activated once the payment is received and booked, usually within a few Swiss bank working days. Renewals are not charged automatically.
• Prepaid balance: if your organization has enough prepaid balance, you can use it for the order.

If a free trial is offered for your plan, a payment card is required to start it. The card is only saved, not charged; you can cancel before the trial ends. A domain registration or transfer is always charged immediately, even with a trial.

Activation#

As soon as the payment is confirmed, the hosting is set up automatically. This usually takes less than a minute; the dashboard shows the progress and refreshes by itself. If the hosting still waits for payment, the dashboard shows Waiting for payment.
