Registering a domain, on its own or with hosting
Search and register a domain with ThunderHosting, on its own from the Domains page or together with web hosting, confirm the registrant and follow the registration status.
You can register a domain with ThunderHosting on its own, or together with a web hosting order. Domains registered with us include ThunderHosting DNS at no extra cost and renew yearly.
Register a domain on its own
- Sign in at beta-manager.thunderhosting.com, open your organization and go to Domains.
- Under Find your domain, type a name (for example example or example.com) and click Search.
- The result shows whether the domain is Available or Taken, its price and the price it renews at. Other extensions for the same name are listed below.
- Choose the registration period and click Add to cart. You can add several domains and order them together.
- Go to the cart and complete the checkout with your payment method.
The TLD pricing table on the Domains page lists the register, renew and transfer prices per year for each extension in your organization's currency. Some names are Premium domains: their price depends on the registry and is shown before you order.
Register a domain together with web hosting
In the hosting checkout, the Domain step checks your name. If it is available, choose Register with ThunderHosting: the one-time registration fee is added to the order and the domain is linked to your hosting automatically. If you already have hosting, use Change main domain and then Register a new domain in the hosting dashboard.
Domain registration or transfer is charged immediately, even if you start a free hosting trial.
The registrant (domain owner)
The registry records a registrant as the legal owner of the domain. We pre-fill it from your organization profile; check and complete the fields (name, company, email, phone in international format such as +41.791234567, address, city, ZIP, country) before you order. You can manage saved contacts under Domains, Domain contacts.
Registration status
| Status | Meaning |

| Pending payment | Pay the invoice to start registration or transfer. |
| Registering | Payment received; waiting for the registry. |
| Transfer pending | Transfer submitted; can take from minutes to several days. |
| Active | The domain is registered and ready. |
| Failed | Registration or transfer failed; fix the registrant if needed and retry. |
If a domain is billed but not yet registered, the domain page asks you to confirm the registrant. Correct the details and click Save and retry registration.
Transfer an existing domain
To move a domain from another registrar, request the Auth/EPP code there, then choose Transfer when you search the domain (or in the hosting checkout). Enter the code, confirm the registrant and pay. Prices for transfers are shown in the TLD pricing table; some extensions transfer for free.
